MeetLocal Child Safety Policy

MeetLocal is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation.

MeetLocal strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

CSAE includes any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, grooms, traffics, coerces, sextorts, or endangers a person under 18. CSAM includes any visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including altered or computer-generated imagery, as defined by applicable law.

1. Age Requirement

MeetLocal is only available to people aged 18 or older. Minors may not create or use an account. Accounts belonging to underage users may be suspended or permanently closed.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

Users may not:

Create, upload, request, store, share, sell, or link to CSAM.
Groom, sexually solicit, threaten, coerce, blackmail, or sextort a child.
Sexualize children in messages, profiles, images, videos, audio, illustrations, or generated content.
Promote, arrange, or facilitate child sexual exploitation or trafficking.
Share a child's personal or location information for harmful or exploitative purposes.
Evade MeetLocal's reporting, moderation, age, or account safety measures.

3. Reporting a Concern

Suspected CSAE, CSAM, grooming, or other child safety concerns can be reported:

Through the “Report” or “Feedback” function inside MeetLocal.
By email at nextspace.studio2917@gmail.com.

Do not download, copy, forward, or redistribute suspected CSAM when making a report. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement.

4. How We Respond

MeetLocal reviews reported child safety concerns and may:

Remove prohibited content.
Restrict, suspend, or permanently close accounts.
Preserve relevant information when permitted or required by law.
Report suspected CSAM or child exploitation to NCMEC, an appropriate child protection organization, or law enforcement when required.
Cooperate with valid legal requests and child safety investigations.

5. Legal Compliance

MeetLocal complies with applicable child safety laws and reporting requirements in the jurisdictions where it operates. We review this policy and our safety practices as laws, risks, and the service change.
